continue to rise
Portugal's housing prices continue to rise strongly, fuelled by improved economic conditions and increasing demand (including requests from many European retired professionals, moving to Portugal).
Property prices rose by 4.84% (3.26% in real terms) in November 2017 from a year earlier, to an average price of €1,144 (US$1,373) per square metre (sq. m.), based on figures released by Statistics Portugal (INE).

Surfing in Portugal
Portugal picks up north, west and south swells, making surf conditions very consistent. During winter the swell size is around the 6ft mark but can get to 15ft or more, making it a spot for those looking for challenging surf. There is surf throughout the summer months and you can expect waves of 3-5ft.
